Did wings yesterday and got to thinking how easy and good and why not take to work.
Question: What would be the best way for travel if 30 min ride and 4 hour hold time.
Or is this just better to cook and make the 30 min drive time to serve? With that how would you travel them.
Salado TX & 30A  FL: Egg Family: 3 Large and a very well used Mini, added a Mini Max when they came out (I'm good for now). Just given a Mini to add to the herd.

Are you going to cook them the day before and refrigerate or cook and take to work hot?
Either way, I would wrap in foil and place in a small cooler, that holds a 6/12 pak. when ready to eat maybe a quick nuc and then heat the sauce separately and dip/pour on them. Or you might consider undeercooking and placing in a crock pot when arriving at work with the sauce. Happy Holidays. I do something similiar with hot abt's and they last warm a few hours.
  • The main thing when transporting chicken is to allow the container to breath by creating a small chimeny in the top. If sealed, the moisture stays inside and causes the chicken to loose it's crispness, or gets mushy! I have a broaster and cook large amounts of chicken and keep it warm by covering in aluminum foil with a 3/4 inch hole punched in the middle.
