Anyone out there have any experience with Bayou Classic or Cajun Cast Iron products. I need some pots.

I use Lodge. At least around here (Florida panhandle), Lodge is available at Walmart and most hardware stores. I bought a 12" skillet and the 8qt. deep Dutch Oven (with cover) at one of my local hardware stores. The skillet fits my LBGE with the handle cut off, and the cover fits the skillet too. Cover that fits both is nice, and is definitely a consideration. 8qt. deep Dutch Oven is on sale right now on the web site...

I am also thinking about getting some cast iron. Would a dutch oven with out legs be better than one with legs?

I use Lodge. It is a quality product.

I think Fidel has a Bayou Classic or Cajun Chef C.I. piece, I forget what eggzactly.
Pretty sure they are both good quality. -
A Lodge 12" skillet will fit a LBGE with handle intact.

I have a Bayou Classic 8.5 qt DO. They sell for about $50.00 on their site. I am very happy with the quality but what's really nice is the size. The top fits well. I have a medium egg and this fits really well on the egg.
When I received it I compared it to my griswald #8. The casing on th BC is not as finished as the Griswald. The BC requires seasoning. It is my go to D.O. and I seldom use the Griswald because of size.
I also use the inverted top of the BC in place of a pizza stone.
I give them a thumbs up. -
Just about all the Wal-Marts carry Lodge in the camping section, but it is seasonal. You can find all kinds of cast iron cookware at sporting goods stores like Cabela's and Bass Pro Shops. I amassed a collection of Lodge Dutch Ovens in all sizes. I bought all of them at Sportsman's Warehouse.

Thanks Everyone.
