  • Re: Dizzy Dust Coarse Grind question

@RRP ; Ron, a while back I cooked 6 butts on my XL using the AR. Easily had room for more, but 47 lb was all they wanted. The cook was done at 350°F and may have taken a few minutes longer but not really noticeable. I used regular grind DD and was very pleased with the outcome. Go with what you know if it is a can't fail cook. Just leave a bit of space between the butts for heat flow and you will be fine. If you are having trouble making them fit, place on edge and put skewers between so they don't stick together. The only issue I had was the drip pan overflowed and I had to empty it which was dangerous. Won't happen again as I now have a large deep drip pan which will easily contain the liquid if I need to do a cook like this again. Best of luck, Dave.
  • Re: ABTs & Pig Shots - a.k.a. Circle the wagons! - TTT attacking!!!

Do you own one and use it? If so, please give a report of your findings as to how it has worked for your cooks, like I and others have done, not just quotes from the online instruction sheet. Your demeanor seems to suggest you want to be confrontational. If that is the case, I do not think you will be happy here as this type of attitude will get your butt handed to you on a platter. I am always willing to learn from those that know more about a device or cooking process than I as long as they have actual experience and are willing to share with this fine group of folks. If you have nothing useful to contribute other than snide criticism crawl back under your bridge.

  • Re: Going Dark on Social Media

My Facebook account was terminated years ago after somebody in Pakistan hacked into it. Never went on Twitter as no one needs to be posted that I am having a BM. Stayed clear since that first bad event. Not to worry though because Big Brother tracks every internet site and phone whether cell or land line. Never say anything you don't want someone to hear. I'm not sure if it's even okay to think it.

This is very much like America's Test Kitchen.  In order to get the full report you have to subscribe.  There is info on a couple on the first page but beyond that pay up.
