I am now cooking ribs and they should be on for another three hours
When ribs are done, I will bump up temp to 400 to do a whole chicken

10.0.1.6 is an IP address on the inside of your router which is not accessible across the internet.
Internet routers do not forward any 'private' network address that start in the following ranges
10.x.x.x
172.16.x.x
192.168.x.x
To access your stoker from the internet you need the public IP address on the outside of your router that is assigned by your internet provider. Then you need to configure your router to forward port 80 (http traffic) from the external port to the internal address of your stoker (10.0.1.6)
You can find your public IP address by opening a web browser and going to www.whatismyip.org -
that's right, but I wouldn't recommend posting that IP address, a hacker can brick your stoker :P

Or worse yet... they could change your pit temp and mess up your rib cook

Just tried it and the connection is timing out - can't read page.
Just got to thinking it might be a problem with folks using firefox. I will go check that and then edit here if that is the case.
{edit} IE converts the address to http://8.0.1.6/index.html FireFox tries to open the original address.
See Avocado's post below.
