Weedburner Info Needed

Just got a tank for my new weedburner ($12.99 thanks Wess ((I think it was Wess who posted the sale last month))).
The question: I understand can use with Large and Small fine.
Any of you use for the mini? Don't want to burn down house.
Have Mapp I can use, but would like to check on Mini...

adjust the flame down with the knob and dont pull the trigger. never used a mini but dont see a problem unless your throwing a big flame and/or pulling the trigger

What do you use to light it with?

i use one of those cigarette type lighters used for lighting a fireplace but any lighter would work

I use a weedburner to light my mini all the time.Like fishless said,don't pull the trigger and throttle it down :ohmy: .I use a torch striker thingy(from the big orange box) to light mine

you should use the flint based torch lighter, probably the safest way to light it.

we have a Catalina 34 on lake St Clair, the 26 mile diameter mill pond between St Clair river and Detroit river.

I use my weed burner on the mini. Just pay attention not to torch the gasket.

I light my mini almost daily with a weedburner. Nomex gasket is hanging on ok so far. I get the whole thing lit up, even the wooden handle is a little scorched. From light to cook, its about 3 minutes on the mini with the weedburner. Love that thing.
