What is everyone's gameday menu's for the weekend? I am going to smoke a 10.34 lb butt and it will be my first time to do it. I am a little nervous about it but I think it will be fine thans to everyone's help on the forum. Also having fried pickles, cole slaw and a whole lot more food. Go Vols!!

Doing a demo cook from 10-3, then an hour drive back to see the Vols play. That O team with the funky yeller & olive drab unies. looks fast. They were picked to beat UT by 13.5 pts. Go Vols. Play Tough.

That is more respectable than I would have guessed. I believe Dooley may have some plays up his sleeve this weekend to break out

We play Idaho this week so we thought we'd make potato skins for our tailgate in Lincoln. Gonna try and make something each week that somehow ties in with the team we are playing. Also, seeing these on the Food Network website helped make up our mind on what to do with potatoes for a tailgate party:

It gave us quite a few ideas.
Gives me an excuse to bake the potatoes first on the egg. Might smoke a pork butt for topping the skins.
Go Huskers! -
That being said maybe us VOLS fans should do Gooey Duck. But not me.

As much as it hurts, I AM picking Tennessee over Oregon. I decided that in this years "pickem" challenge, I would be better off not to let emotion play a part.
I am doing country ribs Saturday, then Sunday I will maintain my long held tradition of making a pot of chili for NFL opening weekend..aka the first time the Falcons kick ass this year. Doing "white" chili this year in the D.O. with chicken, stock, jalepeno's, white cracked peppercorns, white beans, etc. -
Where you going to find the Jackrabbit to cook on the 25th?
-
Ha! I'm sure we could find one but no one at my tailgate would like it much. We'd have to head a little west of Lincoln for that. We're not quite sure what we'll do for South Dakota St yet. About all they are known for is corn...but then again I'd say we claim that one too. Hmmmm...
