Mini BGE Sighting

I went to the grocery store this morning. As I was checking out the great California wines I came across this display. Keep in mind, this is Northern California where gassers are the "norm". Heck, I only know of a few people here in Norcal that own an Egg. I asked one of the girls working the area what was behind the Mini and the wine display and she didn't even know what I was talking about until I told her it was a grill, smoker...etc. She thought it was some kind of artistic statue that was wine related. Thought I would share this with yall, as most people in my neck of the woods have never heard of a BGE.

LBGE, MBGE, SBGE , MiniBGE and a Mini Mini BGE -
Maybe it's time to inform them..cool pic either way, and a shame they had no knowledge
-
It has a Fetzer name plate, maybe someone at Fetzer is an egghead. Either that or BGE is getting smart with some cross promotion. Very cool.
-
Offer them $50 for it, let them talk you up to $75.
-
If I was BGE, I wouldn't like that. Drinking Fetzer is like cooking on a gasser. Yes, I am a wine snob :P
-
Great idea. I'll make the journey back there again tomorrow
-
I need to get to the bottom of this, now it's bugging me. Why a BGE instead of a Webber?
-
-
Cool Pic
BGE starters too -
Looks like Fetzer is doing a sweepstakes to give away a Large Egg
http://www.fetzer.com/bge.aspx
I have to agree- that is some cheap wine to hitch your wagon to! It's not that bad of a wine. It's the best they have at the gas station.Which came first the chicken or the egg? I egged the chicken and then I ate his leg. -
rich go back i need another one sent down to me your last one is cettin used all the time lets make a deal !!!
-
looks like Fetzer put that display together......www.ceramicgrillstore.com ACGP, Inc.

Where is the band? It looks like the top is just sitting on the base with no band, why would anyone display it like that?Happily egging on my original large BGE since 1996... now the owner of 5 eggs. Call me crazy, everyone else does!
3 Large, 1 Small, 1 well-used Mini -
I thought the same thing. Put the band on, open the lid, let people know what it is (as i stand there and brag about it). Rookies...what are we going to do?
-
I must say, it is a good shot
-
I wonder if the young filly even realized what she was putting in the display. Probably thought it was one of those snobby Northern California wine chiller thing-a-ma-jigs
-
Rick,
Maybe you might get a brand new one for cheaper. Glad to see you are enjoying the Mini -

Artistic statue wine related. Funny. Actually I like the assumed association to art and wine by the merchant, that's cool. Think about it, how many smokers out there could be considered a work of art?
I'm an artist and designer. I agree with the wine merchant, the egg IS functional art.
Thanks for sharing! -
My friend, first time my aunt heard about a green egg she tought it was some kind of venereal disease....( In México the word eggs has the same conotation as your word balls)
-
I was able to register for it.
-
LOL-I can see why. Think they should have called it the BGA (Big Green Avocado)?
-
Why would a winery in Ca have a contest that's void in CA?
-
BTW, what supermarket chain is that?
I wonder if there are more minis that are part of the Fetzer promotion. . . -
I noticed this right after I signed up and noticed no CA in the states list (Rules? We don't need no stinking rules...).
Oh well.
I'm in Northern California, not sure where the display is located but I'd like to think there are lots of eggers around me, I've met quite a few just by chance, word of mouth, etc. I know Napa and Sonoma Counties have a lot of eggers from first hand knowledge.
Still, Fetzer, why don't you love the locals? We buy wine, too...
