Po' man's round steak

Well, they are round and I am a Po' Man. :laugh: :laugh:
Recipe:
Find a nice Loney chub and slice 3/8" thick.
Remove the outer red membrane.
Grill at 350*-400* dome, direct.
Cook until desired color is attained.
Thermapen not necessary for this cook.
Pics of on the Small BGE and plated.
(Note that I used the 'good' china.) :woohoo:
Great sides are chips of choice and a can of pork n' beans.

Welcome to the LONEY Court. Here is a great appeteaser idea.
Appetizer, 'Loney, Stuffed, Clam Shells, Richard Fl
INGREDIENTS:
2-3 Cups **Bologna pieces, Chopped into small minced pieces. I used the leftover from a chub of loney balls.
1 Large Box Stove Top Stuffing, Chicken Flavored
4-5 Cups Chicken Broth
1 Cup Parmesan Cheese
1 Stick Butter
1/2 Lb. Bacon, Chopped, Sauteed
1 Can Water Chestnuts, Chopped
2 Tbs. Olive Oil
2 Tbs. Garlic, Chopped
1 Large Onion, Chopped
1 Head Celery, Tops Chopped, SAVE stalks for another project
1 Tbs. Sage
1 Tbs. Thyme
1 Tbs. Red Chili, Crushed
1/2 Each Peppers, Red, Green, Yellow, Chopped Small. (optional)
1/2 Cup Fennel, Fresh, Chopped Fine
1 Can Rotel, Hot salsa
Procedure:
1 Saute butter, bacon, olive oil, peppers, celery tops, garlic, fennel.
2 Add sauted and other items, except the stuffing to 5 cups of chicken broth, depending if you are using broth with seasoning. Bring to a boil, Turn off heat and let cool 5 minutes. Add Stove Top Stuffing to liquid.
3 Let cool 15-20 minutes and place in a piping bag with a 1" opening, no tips. Pipe into shells. Sprinkle cheese on top.
4 Ready to eat or freeze. To reheat frozen. BGE 350-375 15-20 minutes, MICROWAVE 5 minutes medium high. OVEN- 375°F 20-30 minutes.
Yield: 6-8 Dozen Small Shell Halfs
Preparation time: 1 hour

t, I should have just set it out while grilling the loney and it would probably have toasted. Temp here was about 100* with heat index near 110* and has been that way and higher for a while, no rain for weeks. When I walk across my lawn it sounds like I'm walking on potato chips. Mike
