Is anyone lucky enough to live near this new store? I stumbled upon it yesterday at the Bellevue mall.
It's a chain from Holland and there are only 6 stores in the US, most of them in sort of odd spots. (Missoula MT?)
It's such a great store, though. They sell oils and vinegars and gorgeous ceramic things for dipping and serving. You can buy empty bottles and have them filled and then bring the bottles back for refilling.
The variety of oils and vinegars is HUGE. I bought my brother a set of balsamic vinegar and blood orange olive oil for xmas. (I like to plan ahead!) I got me a garlic OO and a balsamic. I will need to go back for that blood orange, tho, and several others.
If you're lucky enough to live near one of these, make haste. On their website they list Houston, Missoula, Charlottesville, and Bellevue, but I know they told me there is one in Spokane (they must really like Washington!) as well as another city I can't remember. They also have them in other countries.

If it anything like the one 20 miles from me it is to die for and go broke in. Favorite is porcini mushroom oil of beef after cooking.

That's actually not it, but it looks to be very similar. The one near me is http://www.oilvinegar.com. Yes, definitely a store to go broke in!
They do have a porcini one I noticed. You can taste any and all that you want. I can't wait to go back! -
The one I go to is an original and has been around about 3-4 years. Their raspberry balsamic is great on salads.

This looks like a road trip at the Mini fest...I better bring extra cash...

My inlaws live in Charlottesville and I get there a lot. I'll have to check this place out.

There is one just down the road from us in The Woodlands Mall (Houston area). I have spent more than I care to think about there. Everything in the store is available for tasting if you ask. Its all GOOD!

So which have been yours faves and do you have any special recipes you use them in?
Need excuses to go in and buy more.... -
Really nice looking stores Gwen with a lot of things we could spend money on...Are you coming to Atlanta this year?

We've got one similar at the local mall called "di Olivas." Very good stuff. I got a pineapple balsamic vinegar that is just amazing on vanilla ice cream.

No, I'm not going to make it. I've been coming every other year. Next year I may go to a regional fest however. I've been wanting to go to the florida fest and the texas fest. So I may aim for one of those instead.

That does sound good. I like just about anything that involves pineapple!
