well my youngest son decided he was going to cook for me yesterday, so he has spent the last two weeks lurking here and using the search function to learn how to do ribs, burgers and dogs on the egg.
he told me he found all the info, including rub and sauce recipies, and technique info here.
so thanks, to all, just wanted to let everyone know and share some pics.
BTW the ribs were great, as was the rest of the meal, what a great day!!

A. get another egg so YOU can cook on the egg too
B. sit back a watch your son cook some great food!

absolutely
2 large, sweet onions
2 1/2 cups buttermilk
soak sliced onions in buttermilk fo at least 1 hour
mix;
1 1/2 cups flour
2tsp salt
2 tsp red chili powder
1-2 tsp cayenne
1 tsp sugar
1 tsp garlic powder
1 tsp grnd cumin
drain onion slice, retain buttermilk, dredge in flour mixture, redip in buttermilk and redredge. refrigerate for 10-15 minutes, fry in peanut oil at 375

Yeah it was a great day, the bad news is he has taken a job in D.C., he'll be moving away in Aug. I may have to look for a small to send with him.
