OK some of you might not think this a a problem but i do and the people that fish and are from the north are going to know what i am talking about!! Opening Walleye weekend is next saturday!! I also have to cook 4 butts for sunday!! My wife doesnt have the confindence to cook the butts for me, i need to fish or i am gng to go crazy. My dilemma is this, the food is going to be eaten at 1230 sunday afternoon, i need to be done cooking and the shredding needs to be done by 10am. the butts could be put on at 2pm saturday but i wont be there to do that, should i put them on earlier and wrap for up to 6hrs or should i even cook them up friday and be done with them saturday when i am done fishing??? any suggestions!!! :huh:

Send me some walleye! They can hold for 6 hours.

You could even do the butts a day or two in advance, pull them, seal them up in vacuum bags. When you're ready to reheat, add a little apple juice or Coke. No one will know the difference.

Yep. Do I need to come up and cook while you fish? I love walleye, and yes it is hard to get them past the fryer.
