What are Eggheads using to bond the Nomex Gasket to the Egg? I have heard of High temp silicone, is that the prefered bonder?
Is the Nomex a far superior gasket than the standard grey?
Please advise
Thank you

I used 3M Super 77 adhesive

I did as well and it's holding strong for 4 months + averaging 4-5 cooks per week.

Rutland or Cotronic are good too. If you're going to go to the trouble of putting in a new gasket go for a quality one.

This was posted last year:
Use Permatex High Temp RTV Silicone Gasket Maker #26B instead and your gasket will never again fall off!!!

Nomex & 3M Super 77
Works great and no worries (no matter how remote) about any sort of health related issues.
Like Big Foot... health concerns with Rutland may or may not be real, but when there is a more definitively safe alternative... why bother with any amount of risk?
my 2 cents.
