One year anniversary with the egg! so I am doing Prime Rib.
Following recipe on NAKED WHIZ - cooking indirect until internal temp is 125
question: approx how long should it take to cook
4-5 lb of prime rib?
just trying to figure out what time to start the cook

For rare, about 20 minutes per pound

Don't go by time but by internal temperature. Someone here on the Forum would have that answer.

Check out firecooker.com and watch the video. It depends what internal temp you want.

I am trying to get the internal temp at 125 and just want an estimate so I know what time to appox start the cook!
20 min a lb seem kinda fast but for now Ill go by that unless I hear different - this means by 4 lbs prime rib will be done in 1 hour 20 minutes!
