I read that BGE's lump was made by Royal Oak, is this still so?

That's what I heard too.I'm spoiled! I had a pallet of Ozark Oak and started runnin low so I bought some R.O. It's O.K. butit is ash and dust compared to Ozark Oak!NO COMPARISON!!!

I have been using the Ozark Oak and I like it. Not much ash or dust to deal with. However, I do seem to have to spend a little more time clearing the little pieces out of the air vents between cooks compare to RO.

I haven't used the Royal Oak, because I can't find it. I just bought some Wicked Good, but haven't tried it yet. I've only used the BGE so far. My last bag was absolute garbage. There weren't more than a dozen pieces over the size of a golf ball. Hopefully the Wicked is better.

Interesting, I am on my second bag of BGE Lump coal and am very satisfied with the results. Think I will try the RO. I will update with my findings.

Make sure the bag of RO says made in the USA....made in Argentina absolutely sucks..made in Paraguay is useable but not as good as US made....top side of the bag will tell ya...haven't found US made here in Md for at least a year..
