Doing my first overnighter - lump built perfectly, butt ready to go - pull the brand new thermometer out of the box and the smoker temp is not sending. All I have is three straight lines. I've connected, disconnected several times and changed batteries. Looks like I'll be babysitting the egg tonight instead of looking at temps from my bed.

Anyone had this happen? Solutions?

Try the TX button in the battery compartment of the Transmitter. Sounds like they aren't sync'd.

I hate it when I go to the kitchen for food and all I find are ingredients!

  • Well, it worked for about five minutes then it stopped. Guess it goes back on Monday. - Thanks
  • try changing both batteries...and turn them both on at the same time. that will sync them instead of using the tx button.
