Made the chicken soup the other day while the snow fell. First time using smoked chicken in soup. The smoke was hard to pick up the first day, but now after a couple days, it adds a great flavor. I used pecan chunks and smoked on the heavy side. I'll do it again.

only way to go as far as i am concerend,, standard chicken soup here is roast a large chicken on the egg with some persimmon when it is about done take it off the egg and right into simmering chicken stock to cover. add celery, carrot, parsley root, parsley, turnip and simmer for hours ,, strain off stock, disgard veggies and pick out the meat, return meat to stock and add starch of choice, currently barley, and more veggies simmer til done,

You still using that pecan you cut up last year? Did they close the city down with all that snow?

I was somewhat concerned on the front end, given how much smoke hit the birds, did two chickens. It was good, wife agreed. twww.ceramicgrillstore.com ACGP, Inc.
