New Oven... What for?
Grand Oeuf Vert
Posts: 1,631
Just installed a new oven cause the old one died the other night. :( I'm still trying to understand the Bride's needs for a new one of these. Afterall we don't use it very much. :( I think a Medium to go along with my Large would have been much more practical.

There are two kinds of women but, their always right! :woohoo: I think I made a funny!

Yes Dear.

The term "Bride" says it all. When you have been married longer you WILL begin to understand how things work in the real world.
-
Look at it this way... you had to put something in that big empty spot! 'Course, I would have just left the old one there. And used it to store some of the less frequently used egg accessories. Or sheets.
I hate it when I go to the kitchen for food and all I find are ingredients!

Now there is a great idea store your eggcessories in the oven! :woohoo:

This may have been a tongue in cheek post, but I'm notoriously known for being dense.
My serious answer is : of course, you want a standard oven. There are plenty of so-so meals that I don't want the hassle of firing up the egg(s), such as Stoffer's Spinach Souffle or Mac & Cheese, cookies, etc.
I will now go into hiding, waiting for the wrath of the militant eggheads. :laugh:__________________________________________Dripping Springs, Texas.Just west of Austintatious -
Tim i can see it now. you will not be egging now. with that new oven your wife will take over the cooking.
-
If you're not excited by the new oven, then you didn't get her a nice enough oven.
-
It's like all those shoes they buy. They might not use them very often, but they have them if they need them.
Besides.... When you have been around the same woman as long as I have...ya see things ya just don't understand. -
An oven can be a great place to keep things warm as they come off the egg as the next product is being cooked. And simply put, If the better half wants an oven, ya better damn well get one or your Eggin days are coming to a screeching halt.
:S -
Eggsactly. Now it's my turn. I need another Egg sweety.
-
Not! A man has to draw the line somewhere.

I've been Married 28 years and I still don't understand her. :S

-

-

Wives are weird animals. Very confusing, at the very least. Mine's in the kitchen making a sandwich and singing strange tunes.
-
It makes a good secondary source of heat..

The oven or the wife?
