I hope it holds better than mine. I put on a rutland and used their cement, I thought I did a good job cleaning off the original gasket and applying the new one. It looked perfect and got a great seal. Was saucing some spares the other day and got some on the gasket. On opening the next day half of the gasket ripped up and is now hanging out. It seemed that the cement stuck to the ceramic alright but pulled off from the gasket itself

Next time, this summer, I will put a new one on the lid instead of the base.
