I am about to replace the gaskets on my large I have recieved the new gaskets from the mothership and I was wondering if I could just put the new gasket on one side and call it good. Then loosen the lid band to get the lid to get a good seal. would this be a yeah or neah???

Give it a try. Do a dollar bill test and if your seal is good your are done. If the dollar bill test isn't good then put gasket material on the other side
As you have read in other posts a lot of people don't bother with gaskets at all.

probie, You may want to shrink your nomax gasket first. Assuming that is what you recieved. Tim

You can do that but to do even one side correctly , that it won't fall off, you MUST remove the dome ..trust me ... we have tried all the shortcuts and they fail... so if you have to remove the dome, might as well do the job correctly. We have a video series of 3 videos that show you exactly how we do it here. ... you have to scroll down they are about 3/4's of the way down the page.
