Ok..total confusion. Finally getting organized to register for the fest in FL and there are "tasters." What is a "taster?" Is that what we call 'guests' or non-cooking attendees? Also it shows registration AFTER Jan 12 is more. Today is Jan 12th and the early registration shows already closed. Am I deficient in my programming skills or did someone put in >= instead of > in their little if then loop. Or am I being really dense. I'm on coffee #1 so is possible. Help help.

I think that is what I'll do! This is far too complex! I like things simple these days.

Ah thank you. So the fest link was actually inaccurate. Well if "tasters" are closed anyway, guess I'll be skipping this one. Was going to be a "bring husband" fest but can't exactly tell him he can't come to the fest part!! Oh well. Just can't plan that far ahead these days.

Molly I am sending you my phone number in a E-Mail. I will get you all hooked up and explain what we had to do and why. Thanks Molly.

Hey Molly, not that I can help you with the registration but this caught my attention ...>= instead of > in their little if then loop.

LOL. Database design. Old Unix/Informix geek. Now mostly mysql stuff although also paw into foxpro still a bunch. Gave up on sql server. Too much of a hog. Have a slew of servers up in Chicago area while I keep warm (or used to) in Texas. Hey, I have a closet of punch cards and 8" floppies when I want to think of the good old days (not).

I'll second that!!

Nay, you're not that old, I'm a mainframe SCM administrator policing programmers' Cobol, PL1, APS, Easytrieve, CICS, DB2 ...codes before production deployment :P
Want to hear my favourite punch card story? students in some far east country had to pay for the punch cards in college so they stretched their budget by patching up the holes and reused them :woohoo:

When I was in High School (yes they had computers then) my mother had subscribed to Columbia record club.. We tried to cancel several times. Nothing worked, so I sent the letter on punch cards with the ink turned off. Even sent the instructions needed to print the letter from the cards. Worked on the 1620 we had anyway.
Two weeks later we got a nice letter stating how sorry they were for ignoring us. Our account was cleared and canceled.
Good thing I wasn't an ancient hacker!!! -
speaking of ancient hacker, this is what we did ...
punched up two cards of dummy infinite loop and inserted them into some poor soul's job deck :woohoo:canuckland
