What is your favorite hot sauce? What do you like to put it on? Where do you buy it?
My new found love it Trader Joes Chili Pepper Sauce, replacing Sriracha for the number one spot. Not sure of the Scovil rating but it is med/hot, with lots of flavor. Had some for snack tonight with leftover Black Eyed's Peas on Saltines. YUM!

I like to make it. Place hot chilies, in vinegar for a few weeks, add the other ingredients and take stick blender to puree. Usually do a quart of vinegar and chilies. Oriental birds beak are nice and hot.

LaBomba is a hot sauce? Oooops - I should have said THANK YOU for your assessment - now I can show that to my wife as another testimonial that she wouldn't like my precious little hoard of LaBomba! heheheRe-gasketing America one yard at a time.

For me it depnds what I am using it for. On eggs I like green Tobasco. For easy wing flavor Frank's Red Hot. For asian, siracha, and for Mexican I am partial to Cholua. You can find all of these in my fridge.

I can't take the heat like I used to, now I am partial to Texas Pete Garlic. Like it on chicken, pork, Cuban Sandwiches . . . many things.
Gator -
I'll second that one!! Very tasty and thick not runny and no vinegar taste like other hot sauces.

For wings - Frank's/Durkee Red Hot. Because it's the only authentic one for wings. (SUNY-Buffalo, BSChE 1984)
For catfish, beans, jambalaya, etc. Cajun Chef.
For drizzling on chips, scrambled eggs, Goya Botanita. We fill Tostitos scoops with this one and just chomp them down :evil:Egging in Crossville, TN -
I like Sriracha made by Huy Fong foods. This is closely followed by the standard Tabasco.
Wishing you a happy new year. -
I have two - the first is Pain is Good and the second is Liquid Stoopid.
Pain is Good. Garlic and Habanero
Liquid Stoopid. Jalapenos and something else that will melt away brain cells quick
Both are up there on the hot scale! Liquid Stoopid...I dunked a wing in it on Saturday - woke up on Tuesday. Enough said -

Cave man sauce. Made from the Origional ADP pepper.
Course its only avalable from a certain deranged gum Dr.!! This stuff is like liquid ADP's all year long. Since I grow my own ADP's, habaneros, bhut's (which the rats ate in my shed when winter came!! )from April-Dec. and eat raw my go to sauce is Tobassaco origional and chipotie for flavor in my cooks. -
So how did the rats fare?? is this the new decon????

357 Mad dog sauce
Was the hottest stuff I've ever tasted. Well for a few seconds til the heat overtook me.
They make this Mad dog 357 Ghost pepper sauce that is made from Bhut Jolokia chile pepper it's in the guinness book as the hottest sauce ever. I was way past my max on just the standard 357 sauce!

For asian flair good in marinade
Huy Foods Vietnam Chili sauce
For Creole/ New Orleans

Colman's Mustard (hot English) -
I'd agree. It's not just hot, it's tasty. I'd say the same about Frank's.

Jerry,
I love hot sauce and could never stand tobasco. Then I went to the Breaux Bridge crawfish festival and went to Avery Island. Loved it ever since.

My favorite "if I could only have one" sauce is Captain Rodney's Corazon del Fuego (Heart of Fire). I love the heat from the habaneros which also gives it a little bit of fruity flavor. Kinda hard to find around here though.

DrugCoder,
I have a couple of Captain Rodney's sauces in my collection but that one doesn't ring a bell. I'll have to see when I get my display cabinets built.
