That's a question best answered by Smitty the Smoker. Maybe if you talk nice, and bring gifts, he may let you stop by for some.

Ping SmittytheSmoker here...he's got your info and can give you the NorCal lowdown!

It's not exactly San Jose, but Diners, Drive-Ins and Dives had Gorilla BBQ in Pacifica on a few weeks ago and the guy really seemed to know what he's doing.

I guess you are still alive after all, miss ya dude, Merry Christmas! -RP

Best BBQ in this area (South Bay) seems to be Famous Daves in Gilroy. 25 minute drive south.
Armadillo Willys isn't bad, they have quite a few locations around. Andy's, Pat's and Blue Rock are very average.

Smitty, this is one of my favorites, but haven't been there in awhile. You been there? As a matter of fact, I'm adding them to my Facebook

Yeah, I like eating steaks from Henrys.
Not a true BBQ place in my opinion.
I go there quite a bit, I like the oldtime bar/eatery concept.-SMITTY

Famos Daves the chain? I went in one and the ribs were like pork chops dry and tough, they state they smoke them for two hours and proud of it???

I stopped in a couple of times in the mid day on weekends, ordered a sampler plate with everything both times and was amazed that everything was above average.
Not much out there you might say.-SMITTY

It's not BBQ but it's the forefather of Texas BBQ - Teske's Germania on the corner of N First Street and Devine. It's an authentically good German restaurant with a good selection of German Beer.

I'll check this out, thanks for the tip.

Check out Texas Smokehouse BBQ in East San Jose. I've been to most of the BBQ places in San Jose and this is my favorite.

I don't know but I sure miss Linda's Parisian Burgers.
