OK! Last night after i read all of the input that everyone gave me, i went shopping. I purchased the platesetter, more charcoal, starter sticks, ash tool, grate gripper, BGE hat, BGE apron, seasonings, pizza stone, outdoor propane heater (its cold in kc),cedar planks,v-rack, rib rack and a vertical roaster. I didn't buy a nest or a table yet. Although I did find a really nice table with granite and storage drawers. I just need to make sure the wife will ok it. She did say that I could buy anything I want for the BGE!!!

She would probably draw the line at some attractive ladies to fan you as you slave over a hot Egg. Probably....The Naked Whiz

Outstanding. You're going to love the BGE hat. Seriously, have fun with all your new toys! We want pics!
-
Don't sit there typing...get out there and cook something... and for goodness sakes take pictures...
:P :silly:
Welcome to the club.... -
Great job shopping, hope you had fun doing it. Sounds like you have a great wife and a keeper.
Enjoy your new toys and post pictures when you can.

-
Thank you, I plan on cooking tonight. Pictures on the way

It was a blast shopping for all of the BGE toys. Im going to go to another store today. I think that they might have more options for the egg. I have all of this stuff, and I haven't even cooked anything yet!
-
Kcegger,
Sounds like you did alright with the supplys, and yor wife sounds amazing!! I told my wife I wanted the BGE cookbook and she rolled her eyes at me! -
All that and your Egg is sitting on the ground?
-
Yeah. I have found a table but the store says it takes a couple a weeks to get in. I think it is custom made. I might just cook on the patio for a couple of weeks until it gets in.
-
Sorry about that. My wife is pretty nice when it comes to this type of thing. She is just trying her best to keep me off the golf course.
-
Ah, ok. You might wanna get a paver to set it on to protect your patio.
Nice Haul btw....
Fwiw, my fave accessory is an old fireplace poker. It lifts a gride quicker and easier than a grid lifter, it is a lump stirrer, assists with lifting plate setter, and more. -
when im egging at camp im usually in a boat when the egg is doing its thing, guess the boat is egg related, maybe even the camp  and how you going to move that thing, its heavey, youll need a truck, trailer, and four wheeler    wheres it all end

very true. I almost drove the truck to go shopping. I think that I will be driving today to the other stores. BGE sells a ton of stuff. Now that you mention it, if this egg thing goes well, i might put one on my dock with my boat. great idea, thank you!!

You're naked without a spider ring and a wok.

Wow, your dealer must be loving you!! Did you get your thermapen and DigiQ or CyberQ ordered form the BBQ Guru? You're going to need it for those low and slow cooks.
There's a forum member named "Little Steven" that can help you find more things to spend your money on then you'd ever believe. He does comes up with some great ideas though. Unfortuately I've had to 2nd mortgage my house because of him. Shoot him an email if you're looking for things to buy. :woohoo:
All joking aside, good luck with your new egg and have fun. -

Looks like he should not forget the acetone....must be the secret ingredient in the fried rice....but you are correct, a spider and wok are a nice addition and fun to play with....Kevin Jacques

You have to be careful with the acetone. It's easy to put too much in. :laugh:__________________________________________Dripping Springs, Texas.Just west of Austintatious
