So I got an early Xmas present of a DigiQ II, and can't wait to get smokin. I'm planning on a pork butt this weekend... but it's supposed to be around 20 degrees. I know my faithful egg has no problem with this. It takes that cold and says is that all you got. But I don't know if my DigiQ can take it. Anybody out there know? Thanks for the help.

I just got one of these too and planing a pork but this weekend.. great question that I didn't even think of

I have one and there is no problem using it at that temp or lower. Enjoy
-
Just keep it dry

Why keep it dry? It says it's water tight. That is from BBQ GURU's site. Does this mean it can be left out in the rain?

Water tight vs. water proof.
Plug in's and power have not water protection.
I guess if one wants to put a $200 accessory exposed to water/snow/moisture then go for it.
Me, I use a bread bag or zip lock and mount the q2 somewhat vertically so there won't be any potential capillary action of the moisture.
Just my 2¢

My q2 has done a great job at -26°.
