so, here is the dilema. .. we love our burgers with dizzy pig cowlick. . .but now we've discovered ken stone's (aka bluesmoke) new witchy red rub. . .so what's a burger lover to do. . ..well instead of a single extra large honkinburger. . .i had to make myself two burger, one each with cowlick and one with witchy red. . .then alternate bites of each. ...[p]so, here they are before going in the egg. .. its easy to tell which is which, as anything you sprinkle witchy red on gets this lovely bloody red hue to it as it starts to 'melt'. .. [p]
[p]and here they are on the egg. . .before and after flipping. . .again, the witchy red down the middle . ..[p]
[p]
[p]and here they are on the plate, served with rice pilaf and a salad, and for anyone who hasn't heard me say it before, i no longer eat my burgers on a bun, with cheese, or any condiments. .. . they just plain taste too good all by them selves to cover them up with anything. .[p]<PR>[p]

That Witchy Red is some good stuff. I used the last of my sample pack last night on wings and they were super delish! Gotta order the full size bottle now![p]Jim

mad max, does Ken have a website?
-
BamaBob,
he does not have a web site. .. but he can be reached at [p]kenstone@mail.4edisp.net[p]he's a great guy and will give you a run down of all his excellent products.. ..personnaly, i really like (besides the witchy red rub) his gilded splinters rub and his big chief and happy pappy sauces. ...but he has about a half dozen other rubs and sauces as well. ..

And the winner was ???

BamaBob,[p]Because Ken is donating some things for doorprizes at our upcoming Florida Fest in March, I did a webpage there to highlight his products....[p]I notice I don't have a description of his "Solid Ball" rub, though...I'll have to update the page with that one.[p]Tonia[p]

Toy Man,
dead heat. .. . they are two very different and unique rubs, but i'm telling you, , , on a burger, they are both excellent. .. with cowlick, you get more of a straight black (and other) pepper kick. .. and with the witchy red, more of a tomoty/peppery, flavor like a meatloaf thing goin on (in fact it will be great as a primary seaoning for meatloaf). .. .[p]try em both, you can't go wrong. ..
