is it safe to use in feezing condition

Wondering whether rapid raise of internal temparature during use in freezing weather is safe because usually subjecting ceramic utensil results in thei cracking .
Anxious to know if I cam bbq in any weather.

go for it. .. you can use your egg no matter how nasty it is outside. . . .look down the current posts and you'l see Nature Boy's post about his camping trip in sub zero weather last weekend and pictures of eggs cranking away all weekend long. . .[p]

<p />prem,[p]No problem at all. Did an all nighter a few weeks ago and it dipped to 3° that night and have cranked it up to 750° for steaks at close to the 10° mark. The BGE handles the cold better than I do.[p]Chuck[p]

Safe in freezing conditions only if you wear a hat, gloves and heavy coat....;-) Go 4 it, nothing better than hugging an egg on a cold day and watching the smoke pour out the top.

You guys think you got problems, try having to add ice cubes to the egg in the summertime here in Arizona to bring the temp DOWN to 200 for slow cooks.And thats without lump in it. Just Kidding, Have a nice weekend. I'm riding my Harley to Las Vegas for the weekend--See Yaa
