Hey all,
Just wondering....is there a difference in food taste if you soak your wood chip/chunks or just toss them in dry.
I'm planning to do a butt tonight and the thought hit me. Any thoughts?

Chunks Dry..
All wet does is produce steam -
Thanks for the tip...good point. Do you soak chips or toss them in dry also?

Don't do chips. Just chunks. 2 or three are all you need.

I vote no soak.
I don't think there is any use to add addtl moisture to the system which is a very controlled burn... I mix a handful of chips throughout the lump. -
