This has to be a first...
I just heard from a pretty reliable source that one forum member at the end of this weekend will be over
1/2 way to have coked 1/4 TON of BuckBoard Bacon so far this year.
I believe this is non commercial cooking.
Mark, Weekend Warrior. At the end of this weekend will have cooked 300 POUNDS of Buck Board Bacon.
Do you think you will hit a full 1/4 Ton by the end of the year?
Congratulations, Mark, that is a lot of BB Bacon.
There has to be some kind of reward for that accomplishment.

Another week or so and the weather will be cool enough to do some here. Heck I just saw the late summer snow storm in Colorado, too early for me. I'm getting too old for that...
Kent -
Haha. Thanks Kent....I think. To answer the questions, I made the mistake? early this year of sharing a good part of my first 25lb. batch with family, friends and co-workers. Now, I'm getting orders regularly from same. I made 75lbs. to serve at Waldorf, NewEggland and Pittsburgh Eggfests. And last, but not least, my family eats plenty of it too.
At the rate I've been making it, I should reach 400 or maybe 500 lbs. by the end of the year as I'm going to be making a bunch for Christmas gifts. Mark -
that math is a little shakey.
hahaha
i made a batch of brat wurst in the summer, and i calculate i'm only an eighth of the way to halfway to almost there towards half a ton of bratwurst myself. -
Let us know when you get to 300# of brats.
Post some pictures so we can see the results. Love brats 'n onions.
Mini doin it's job.
