My first butt is on the Egg .... I'm in the habit of misting ribs, brisket, etc. Should I mist the butt ??

Good luck on the butt---don't sweat it pork butts are very forgiving and almost always turn out great.
As for misting, I've never done it! -
No, you don't need or want to do that. The egg's ceramics do a great job of retaining moisture. I've always had perfect bark on a butt on the Egg without misting or basting. (although I did mop sometimes on my old metal offset smoker).Knoxville, TN
