Not many teams opened up Thursday night, but ISU was one of them. Beat a IAA team, so not that impressive but the tailgate was impressive! Broke out a new small BGE and a new carrier - thanks to Frank in Houma for the idea. I cooked a ton of meat, but only small amout of pics - sorry:
Dual Small BGE's in Travel Mode:
Dual Small BGE's in Cook Mode:
ISU Flags - Have to love 'em:
Daddy needs a cold one (FYI - not Dr. Pepper but ISU colored RED)
Started with some Fatties:
And some Chip Dip - Meat, Salsa and Velveeta:
After this, I cooked about 5 lbs of pork loin on a stick. I soaked in Italian dressing overing and seasoned with Butt Rub.
I had most of the tailgating neighbors coming over to check everything out. The fatties were the talk of the tailgate, I cut and served on a bun. Great day and the Cloners won.
I am not a betting guy, but the clones play the Iowa Chokeyes this coming Saturday. ISU covers pretty much every year. I will let you know after the spreads come out. Chokes may get beat this week against Northern Iowa!

WOW That looks like fun! Nothing like college football! I'm a Bama Fan and we'll be tailgating tomorrow but not at the game sadly,,,Staying home for this one.
When you're at the game, do you worry about your Eggs at all? Like someone taking them? I'm taking mine to my first tailgate soon and was wondering if anyone would mess with them while we at the game.
Steve -
Looks like you've taken tail gating to a new level with your dual small outfit.
Your young fan looks like a good helper. -
I am always a little freiked out leaving the eggs. However, I ran out at halftime (only about 50 yards) and they were still warm. I drank a beer or two or three, then loaded up in the truck and went back in. Long story short, if someone was going to yank it, they better have heavy duty gloves. Plus - ISU is known for a lot of tailgating but not a lot of ticket buying - thus some of my neighbors were watching out.
Have a TON of fun this Saturday. -
Nice set up. Bet a couple folks asked "what do you call those green things"
My son's antitheft device - Houston Texans tailgater

you are not scared cracking the firebox or lid if you were to hit a bump in route to the game
