Hi Everyone,
Happy Monday. My sister is watching dad today so I am going to finally go out and get a few things done. Will a 100 lbs of charcol be enough to get me through the winter? I am going to do my first fatties, ribs and my first spatchcook chicken today will I someone to watch him.
Thank you in Advance

just depends on how much you plan to egg over winter - but for me I panic when I fall below 360 pounds on hand! I know locally some sources have dried up already for the year so better shop now.Re-gasketing America one yard at a time.

Yes I called around today, and everyone is low. That is why I am going out shopping today.

Well, how many bags do you go through in a week? Multiply that by how many weeks of winter and you have the answer!

Im still confused how lump is seasonal in some of your areas.... If folks are sellin the cookers they better keep the stuff that makes them WORK on hand...
conrfuzed in Iowa.. But then again I have 60 fresh
bags at the store that just came off the big green boat lol. -
Being here in N. Florida it still stuns me. In four more weeks I won't be able to find a bag except at a dealer or at a grocery store. Fortunately the Publix brand is good an reasonably priced. If I weren't moving I would have stocked up but it just doesn't make sense to transport lump all across the state!!!

I keep about 300 lbs on hand through the winter although I probably only use half of it. It should store foreever and worst case scenario turn into diamonds if stored to long.

Civil...that's a good one!
