Sounds like a good cook, we need some pictures.

about to go take some just went on. I am getting a little bold and not just asking you guys for a recipe, we'll see. Legs and Thighs on now, raised grid with drip pan of Apple Juice. Dome is 350, injected chicken with Creole butter hours ago and put on a little oil and Emeril's Chicken Rub. I am thinking an hour or so at this temp? or maybe more? Pecan smoke.
Got corn soaking in the husk and about to get it ready to put on.
Pictures coming up -
Sounds like you are doing just fine and will have some very good eats coming off the egg.
Make notes of what you are doing and the results. If you like it you can improve on the cook. If you don't like the results you will know what not to do.

Sounds like you are off to a great start. Good to see another Gulf Coaster here.

I should have said I put them on my grid extender, think it is going to cook a little slower over the drip pan of apple juice. No plate setter, direct heat under the pan.
Wonder when I should put the boneless breasts on? and how long they will take? -
That set up should work fine. I have cooked them both direct and indirect.
-
I so know how you feel. Cannot wait to see the pics!

Can we have the details? They LOOK good....
