Down to my last two bottles of GREEN HEAT
Midnight Smoker

I'm sure some of the old regime of forum members are familiar with this product! I bought 4 cases of it at Wally World 3 years ago when they were closing it out. I think it was $1.00 a bottle, as compared to $4.00/bottle normally. My wife almost killed me when I can home with 4 cases of the stuff! It was a great way to start the Egg in the days before Mapp torches, or at least the Mapp for lighting the Egg. I think I'll save my last bottle for a keep sake, as I don't think they sell the big bottles in the U.S anymore. I use it every once in awhile just for the nostalgia effect.....and I like the sound it makes when you sguirt it out (I'm still a little boy at heart!)

I wish I could find some more. That stuff is better than the electric lighter I've been using since WM quit selling the Green Heat.

I use mt MAPP torch 99% of the time. Fast, easy and FUN!!! Although I ran out of MAPP gas and used just the regular gas plumbers torch and it worked just as fine. Just not as fast or hot. -
you might give packserv a call. they carry a similar fuel, called eco-start. they might be able to tell you where you can get it. they are a distributor. link attached. t

I've considered making my own -- according to the eco-start material safety data sheet it's about 70% ethanol, with a dash of powdered cellulose and salt. Not listed but presumably the remaining 15 to 25% would be gelatin and green coloring.
(I've got 8 bottle left).
