Cooking 6 slabs of spareribs today for the family. 1st time for me and ribs.

I have 6 slabs about 3-4 lbs each that I am planning to cook for about 5 hours at around 225 indirect. I will be using the BGE rib rack.

I may if necessary bring temp up and put on some sauce for a few minutes. Not sure. Sauce on the side sounds just as good to me.

I am trying some Jack Daniels chips to vary the flavor abit.

Will update!

Happy Father's day and great eggin.

    Good Luck!

That is exactly what I did yesterday for a pre Father's day surprise.

We rubbed the slab with Byron's Butt Rub and yellow mustard they turned out great! (we did not use any Jack Daniels chips, however)

I put some soy sauce and water in a throw away metal pan on top of the plate setter and put the grid on top of that with the rib rack and ribs....don't know if it added any flavor or moisture...it was an idea I got from a Bobbie Flay receipe.

    Sounds awesome!
