A few pics of our table under construction for you to add suggestions. The specs:
Frame is 30"W X 80"L X 32"T - height will be 35" once casters are installed.
Exterior will be finished with Hardy panel, including Egg slot.
Top is TBD, waiting for the wife to heal and decide if she wants to tile it or something else.
There will be a drawer under the egg for grates, platesetter and DO.
Half of open area right next to egg will be slide out trays with plastic tubs for storage of "stuff."
Other half on the left side, bottom will be slide out tray for lump box with a regular drawer above that.
Always looking for ideas for improvement.

Hard to tell from pics. but I am wondering if you have enough room in the back for the spring hinge and its movement?

Where does the 2nd Egg go?
-
Bet he'll give it a 2" paver and the green feet. Then, maybe it'll work. For sure not, as it sits now.

Thanks, I'll double check that. I added a 2X4 that will go all the way to tbe front, and The egg will still sit up another 2-inches once it's deck and the stone and feet are added back.

2nd egg will go on an "L" side table to be added later

Dang, I wished I had seen your table earler. I like the open end with the door. I'm now serioulsy thinking of adding a hinged piece, or a wing nutted piece across the slot, it just looks more secure.
