Ozark Oak Lump

I tried to visit the OO plant today, but they were not in operation. This is just outside Yellville, Arkansas.

I found some lump in a local store and bought 5, 10 lb bags for $4.49/bag. I wish I could buy any kind of lump for that price!

I have a hard time finding anything better than Ozark Oak for the price.

I can find it at a local grocery store for $5.99/bag... It has been the only lump I have been buying for my egg for at least a year....

I would've bought all i could haul. If i was close, I'd seee if i could just get big trashcans filled and save them $ on the bags.

I have bought direct from them....but it was under the table!!!

I loaded up several 30 gal trash bags!!

I hope that's not their kiln, lol. Missouri finally cracked down on polluting charcoal operations, so can Arkansas be far behind? Some of the Missouri companies shut down as a result. The company that was featured on Dirty Jobs invested in making their own new equipment to meet the air quality standards, but not all of them could afford to do it.

I found out that the place we went was their old plant and they have one operating a few miles away. We are going to go have a look, on Thursday afternoon.
