This may be a silly question but i couldn't find an answer with search.
what is the best way to clean up the outside of eggs?
Mine has a combination of dirt...white residue looks like spider webs,
grease running down from top,
general dirt.
Can i use anything other that water?
I would like to get it back to new condition.
Sorry, no pictures.

i wasn't sure if chemicals could be used on the outside.
I will give it a try.

the outside is essentially glass.

I suspect those spider webs are actually minute cracks in the ceramic glaze that happens to a lot of people and does not affect the performance. Actually dirt on the exterior will fill the cracks or at least make them less noticeable. I also vote for the Simple Green.Re-gasketing America one yard at a time.

we don't have any simple green in the house.
Do you have any other suggestions?
thanks.
