I think you meant $499 for a medium! If not, I'm hopping a train to Birmingham!
looks like good prices! -
whoops! I read that wrong! too many bloody mary's!
-
No, you read it right the first time, I thought I put large in there, went back and edited it.
-
chat with the dealer too. a cheaper price is not worth it if this is your first egg and the dealer does not have a clue. they can be a huge asset if you do not have any other eggers in your area to give a hand. of course the forum will help with about anything but hands on
-
Those are good prices. After your first cook, you'll wonder why you waisted so much time shoppin for the best price and not cooking. I've never regreted it and don't know anyone who has. Hop on in the water is warm ...however, it is important to buy from a dealer that knows their stuff, not just the cheapest...start cookin tonight :P

I bought my large 10 years ago at J&J grills in Hoover. I think that the absco folks have a little better knowledge and better selection of accessories.
There are plenty of eggers in bham, but not many that are active on the forum. -
Check out Story and Lee in Leoma, TN. They have some great deals going. He is putting good packages together, and if you buy an egg he is taking 20% off any eggcessories ..

I bought my large from the this dealer a couple of years ago, just looking to add a 2nd egg to travel with. Just haven't priced them in a year or so, didn't realize they have gone up so much.

Thanks for the advice!!

I was told $499 was last years price for a medium. 2009 price medium $549 I travel through out ohio and indiana. Did not find any cheaper than $549 and this was just the basics. $599 with the basic stand. Dealers in Cleveland are trying to get $650 which is crazy. Columbus, same. Nashville Tn, evansville etc were better. Found one for $499 Good Luck

I checked with two different dealers in the Birmingham area last week and they are selling medium for $499 and small for $399.
-
does $339 for small include nest or platsetter?
-
I would say no. But $339 is a good price for a small. I paid $349 about 7 months ago.
