Sparky,
Sweet. Be careful though bud. Take it from me, house fires suck. :(

Good deal Doug. It seems like they could add a screen door for next to nothing to keep the ash from blowing out. Still cool though.
-
It is not safe to burn treated wood Doug!! LOL
Kim & Rod were here earlier today but said you did not need any maple. -
Thanks Steve,I am keeping an eye out,and I plan on putting a mat under it
-
Hey Todd, there is a screen door,I just took it off to throw some more wood in
-
Hey Sir,I'll try to remember that preasure treated is bad I guess I shouldn't cook a hot dog over it huh? Kim and Rod both came by,and didn't get me any maple I'll remember them I guess I'll have to drive out there soon
-
I have plenty if you need any Doug. I doubt I'll come by tomorrow with the weather forecast as it is, but we'll get together soon if you want some. Just let me know.
-
Cool, thanks Rod.I still have enough to last a couple weeks,so I'm good for now
-
There is still quite a bit left if anyone wants to come get it. We even stacked it separate so it is easy to find.
-
:pinch: Sorry!
-
Sure looks nice there Sparky - right where it should be!!! I am getting fond of the green stuff.

Doug,
No smilies. Burning pressure treated lumber is a really bad idea. -
Thanks Kent,me too :woohoo: I'm having way too much fun with it though I just got it home a couple hrs ago
-
Sparky,
I think the old pressure treat had arsenic in it. I don't think the new stuff is as bad but still not a great idea. Keep Carson away from it.

Thanks,I'll keep that in mind Just kidding man,I know.I just used a couple pieces to get the fire going,I promise
-
I know Steve,I'm not even around it It's raining like crazy :woohoo: I got some regular wood in there now though
-

I hear ya,it's hot here, like 50 degrees I'm just enjoying the sound of the rain on my new metal roof :woohoo:

Sparky, most of us like playing with fire, and that new chiminea looks neat. But cookin with Eggs and or chimineas on a wooden deck without a heat or spark barrier is just asking to play fireman. I know a guy who lost a big money house this way. Just lay a layer of paver bricks in a nice design around the base of your egg or chiminea like you would for a woodstove indoors. It will look good and all of your hard work building that deck and cookshack will be protected.
-
Thanks Bob,I'm still working out the final resting area for the chiminea, but I am keeping close watch on it,and have a fire extinguisher handy
-
yesterday and asked about the Chiminea and today, thar it is! Congrats on your latest acquisition.
-
i want one of those :(
happy eggin
