The grilling community is known for coming together to provide help and support in times of need, and many families and communities have been devastated by the recent severe weather events across the country. Check out www.cozycrafted.com. The guy that makes these peppermills is a 79 yr. old retired U2 pilot. He makes the most beautiful peppermills you'll ever see. He uses a grinding mechanism that's similar to puegot.
Naked Whiz features them on his website so they have to be good to get his approval.
If you are looking for a beauty that grinds like a dream, check out U2Plt's grinders. I love mine and I've ordered a second one to match for a salt grinder. I think I've ordered the last grinder I'll ever need to order. Here's a link to my "review" of the grinder I received: CozyCrafted Pepper Mill
From what you eggers say....my conclusion thus far is...... Go cheap if it has a metal mechanism but if I want an heirloom go with the Cozy Crafted job and if my wife is unhappy pay a few bucks more for the bigger one.
   that's why u r da prof!
Metal grinders best for peppercorns, plastic grinder best for salts (something about moisture contact and oxidation)
I'll 5th the Magnum. Expensive, and has a really terrible design flaw (the loading ring rotates open in the same direction that you twist to grind), but this thing throws out a torrent of ground pepper like a snow blower!
You'll never look back.
A bit of black electrical tape will quickly and aesthetically solve accidentally spilling pepper all over your floor.
