After all the fat and unhealthy butts and such the last couple of weeks decided to do some'en alittle bit better for the old ticker and grill some fish. Ever have a night that just fell apart. Started out to do some'en differant with the fish when the storm of the month decided to pick up speed and head right down on the Shack. By the time the storm passed it has gone from 77 degrees to 51 and droping with much water and wind. By the time it moved out was almost 18:00 so just a simple slow grill. Had thawed 10 fellets out for us and my partner and his wife for her Birthday and my wife had made her a cake but they had not been hear 5 min. when he got sick and they had to leave. Called him about 30 min. later and he was on the tolet with a bucket! The virus is running around.
These were cooked at 225-250 direct on raised grill with a chunk of presimmon wood for about 25 min. till flakey. Seasoned with salt, pepper, Old Bay and fresh lime juice and served over wild rice.

Looks mighty fine. I think I've eaten a years worth of beef in the last month. I see plenty of fish and veggies on the diet for the next few months.

Good looking fish and cake JL. Had the same weather here. Had just finished up a flat iron and got the vents shut down when the first of the rain hit. Followed by the wind and it's down in the low 50's now. Big change from 71 when it first got here.

Good thing your buddy got sick before dinner instead of after...

:cheer: looking gooood
 how did you raise the pan??? -
JL, that tilapia looks wonderful. Where did you get the fish?
-
Looks great!!! Did you need to spray your perforated pan with cooking spray, or oil to keep the fish from sticking?
-
Looks good. Low cook direct works!

I sprayed it with cooking spray as I do everything. Really helps clean up on the Egg.

Good old Wal Mart. Comes in a box individually wrapped. Not bad.

It's a home made rig. Some flat stainless that I bent to slide between the box and ringat a 90 then runs between ring and Egg wall to height and bent another 90 half way 1/3 way across Egg. Made 3 of them and pan or what ever sets on these 3 "arms".
