Just checking out the new camera my awesome bride gave me for Christmas...yes, she gave it to me early as we had the kids opening some presents before heading to Dallas for Holiday Craziness with the extended family. We also knew we'd be getting no egg'd food fo over a week, so I thought I would treat her to her favorite - some prime filet.
I love the "glow in the hole"!
Cast Iron ready for the sacrifice!!
The filets after the sear, and heading into the roast:
Plated up with a little sweet corn and some sauteed baby bellas.
The grub was good and the camera easy to use...time for some wine!

Nice sear marks from the OEM grid.
What kind of camera did you receive? -
Thanks! I did sear on the Cast Iron/Spider rig, then roasted on the regular porcelain grid.
The wifey got me a Nikon D60 with a couple of lenses..not sure what I did to deserve it...  -
Nice looking steaks and by the quality of the picture an equally nice camera. Enjoy your time with the "family".Larry

Very nice lookin plate-o-food!
I did a double take when I read your post title. Thought they might have a new camera with a firebox and grate. Or maybe infrared!
Cheers
Chris -
My neighbor across the street got the D0 as an early Christmas present yesterday as well, it is an awesome camera.
I asked Santa for a Nikon S60, as my wife has a larger, more advanced digital.
Enjoy the camera and time with your bride over the Holidays.
Cheers, Erik -
I tried to cook with my camera but Icould not generate enough heat.

Makes me think I'm right there, and let me tell you, your weather is SO much better, it's 8 degrees and snowing right now in southeastern Wa. Great pictures. As we all know with the Egg, great tools and a creative mind makes for great results...well, maybe not always, but you know what I mean. Look forward to future pictures of your endeavors.

Nice pics, Brad. Hope that you all are well. Been busy with work/boss lady to-do list & errands. Looking forward to just relaxing for a bit.
Have a safe and fun trip to Dallas, and Merry Christmas to you! -
How do you cook with a camera?
How hot does it get? -
The dangling modifier was intentional....
