Same method for sliced butt as pulled?

Neighbor asked me to cook him a butt he bought. I think he is going to want it 'sliced'. I guess that means I would take it off the egg at an internal of 160? Also, do I have to cook it slow and low as I would a butt that was meant for being 'pulled'?
