It's not an EGG table, trust me, that's next on the agenda, an outdoor chess table is what we've got here.
Started off with just the table, had to retro-fit the cover, wasn't thinking from the start. Oh well, it's almost done, Brett

LOL Nice set up! Where did you find the great sized pieces? I have seen the big ones for the yard sized layout but not those "medium" ones! Julie
-
Neat looking table. You make the pieces too?
-
K-P-2 to K-P-4
Cool table.. -
we googled giant chess pieces, and a few sites came up. We've had these pieces for a while. The one we used was in Cal., don't remember the exact site.
-
No, ordered from a place in Cal. Googled giant chess pieces. a skill saw and hammer is the extent of my building.
-
If I knew what that meant I'd say, k-4-m-5-g-2, Check Mate.
-
Impressive!

Very Kewel. Nice setting.
You could fit a large and a small in that table. But what would you do with the chess pieces? -
Thanks,
-
hahaha stike scolded me for using the old notation now you're scolding me for using the new notation.
Kings Pawn 2 to Kings Pawn 4
Or the pawn in the space in front of the king moved to the fourth square in front of the king. -
Reminds me of the outdoor chess scene in the Mel Brooks movie "History Of The World Part One."
"It's good to be the king." -
I don't know old or new notation but I am getting your last explanation of what Kings pawn 2 to 4 is. thanks. our games have alot of cocktails, wine and just knowing who can move where. But I'm always willing to learn more.
-
And if not, It's good to be sleeping with the queen.

I use to play by mail with a friend years ago.
Fun staring at a board for a week waiting for the next move. -
Wow......what a beautiful thing that is! Is that your backyard?
-
Now that is one beautiful game table....Got to love the setting as well...I hope that you are still working on the layout of the chess board. A chess board should have a White square on the lower right side of the board as you face it. I see a dark square where a white square should be...Hope it is not too late for you to correct it otherwise Celtic Wolf will be staring at his board wondering why his moves from his remote location are not working.....on the other hand Pete might want to use that as an excuse....
-
no really one uses the letter 'P'.....
are you reading from some old book or something?
hahaha
and the 'k' or 'q' designation is really old school. are you calling in from a gentlemen's club in london?ed egli avea del cul fatto trombetta -Dante -
Too late, those tiles aren't going antwhere. What we can do is play lengthwise, just more reaching.
