I have been using the eggcelerator for about a year. It definately accelerates the starting process. And, it starts the fire more evenily. I have been waiting for the 110v/12v adapter. They have no forecast date.

a step down converter from 110v AC to 12 v DC is quite common for most battery operated household devices. If it's the connection that doesn't fit you can buy assorted sizes for a buck or two at Radio Shack.
