Spring loaded small vs: old style band

I have not posted since the old forum, but would like to find out about this. I have an old BGE small that the band is kind of a pain to oped the lid. I saw one of the newer small today that is spring loaded with the newer style handle. If you buy the new spring loaded bands, is the newer style handle included? I like the way this set up opens and closes much better than the old one. It also seems to open wider with the newer band set up.

I suspect that the handle is included if you buy the set, but I will defer to Bobby-Q on this one.

I changed the bands on my small to the spring loaded. It is a huge improvement!!!!! The way that the spring bands hold the lid and the way it opens, it seem to open wider or give more room to work. They are available from the mothership. They should ask how old your small is as the spring bands do not fit some of the older small eggs.

Almost forgot, the rigid handle was included as opposed to the flip-flop original handle.

Also get the cast iron grid and platesetter for the small,those are great eggcessories too
