if you would, tell me about the gasket. thanks twww.ceramicgrillstore.com ACGP, Inc.
-
Wow, that's a humongus pizza stone. You snipped the gasket?
-
It's a nomex gasket, but I was not able to get it to lay down on the egg without it puckering on the inside radius. So I cut small notches, about 1/8" wide and 3/4 across the gasket. By making the relief cuts, the gasket went on easily. Some of the larger gaps were from experimenting on how small I could make the triangle cut and not have it pucker. 1/8" seemed just about perfect and in some spots there is no gaps at all.
And you need to pull for Auburn, not those other tigers.

Yeah my wife says I went a little overboard with the size of the stone. But then, she measures everything.
Liv'n XL in Jax,

Oh, not too hard for me to pick. Yeah, should be good, Cowboys will try to lasso our new QB,... we will see.

Welcome to the BGE forum and you will enjoy the XL.I have got to warn you it's habit forming and you will end up with more eggs.

Maybe Brett Farve will pop in here with his 2 cents. -RP

The nomex shrinks when heated to cooking temperature. If you had just left the "puckers" alone and fired up the EGG, they would have all dissappeared like good little "puckers".

Welcome NoobEgger...
YB: What is the shelving material you've switched to? I want to replace and expand the size of my shelving.LBGE Katy (Houston) TX -
The shelving is Corian and has worked real good.BGE now sells the egg mates that are larger and made out of a materal with a slick finish.Give Bobby a call at BGE retail in Atlanta.

Thanks, I'll hold out a little to see what I can find that is light, durable and cleanable. I have an engineer in the office that loves to build projects.LBGE Katy (Houston) TX
