Todd,
I have some more support work to do before he pours. I am running in floor heating in it to melt snow. I put a boiler in rather than a furnace after the fire.

Sparky,
Hope I can get it done before the snow flies.

Terry,
No, I think I'm limited out. Any more and I would just lose them in the ensuing divorce settlement.

I hope you have consulted with a structural engineer to ensure you will have adequate rebar reinforcing steel. This is not the type of project to leave up to yourself or a contractor to determine concrete depth and reinforcement spacing and positioning. Please tell me you have?
-
civil eggineer,
The structure is stamped and approved. I added a bunch of intermediate support that he did not call for.
Be a lot of expense if it settled or tilted.

Thanks for the relief. I would hate to see something that substantial turn out any less then perfect. You will of course cause a lot of termites to go hungry.
-
civil eggineer,
Ther are a lot of good reasons for me to do it this way,
one of which is thet my weepers were plugged and I didn't want to replace them. I had leaking in the basement in the spring because my grade was not right and the snow would melt and leech into the block. For the price of a French drain and what the insurance allowed for replacing the deck, I came out even.
