Would like to hear comments and if this is a unit worth purchasing - or is there another sealer/model we should look at.
Thanks, GG -
That's a great price for all you're getting besides! Even has the storage and bag cutter feature. I gave $130 six years ago for my model 1050 which has been out of production for years. Like the BGE itself I will never again be without a Food Saver. How's that for a testimonial???Re-gasketing America one yard at a time.

EXCELLENT price for that unit. i have one and have used it for two years now and paid $110 or so at Sam's for it then. grab one if you still can you won't be sorry. there are a lot of units on the market that have more bells and whistles but the price is right. thanks for the post i may but another one for a spare.
they are probably going to discontinue that model but it works fine. -
GET IT NOW. Great deal.
I have used Food Saver for 7 years and have only had to upgrade once.

Just ordered it. Thanks for the post.

Thanks Bob! I've been shopping for a Food Saver and this is, by far, the best price I've seen. Ordered mine today.

Just ordered one also, thanks for the heads up!

If you're a Costco member they have great prices on refills. Since we buy a lot of food in bulk I'll normally seal & freeze 1/3 to 2/3 of what we buy with things like their pork loins, tilapia fillets, chicken breasts, chops, burgers, smoked salmon etc.
Wouldn't be without one now. There are also some nice plastic containers to use with it. The marinater(sp?) really does work well. Another great trick is to buy the adapters and vaccum seal Ball/Mason cans. We store things like dry chiles, flours, spices etc. in them. Under vaccum they seem to fair better. -
I've been using this model for about 2 years with no problems

Hmmm....seems they are out of stock now. They had 20 to get rid of at that price and they are gone!

Bob, I'm SO bummed out. I ordered it as soon as I saw your post and the order went though just fine. Then, when I got home from the office today, there was a message on my machine explaining that they were all out of the food saver and my credit card wouldn't be charged.
