I was stirring my coals this afternoon and this popped up.
It looks like molten plastic or some sort of resin, hope it wasn't anything toxic, I already cooked with it. -RP

Wow,that doesn't look tasty at all I have found a couple of those in the past few weeks. They weren't near that big though.I usually find them before going into the egg,but not always How are you feeling?
-
Wow, I might have to rethink my "dump & light" habit.

I hear ya Ron.I always keep my lump in a big rubbermaid box. This helps me,because I have to shovel it out into the eggs I usually find the debris before I cook with it

Are you the guy that uses RO?
-
Here's a comparable piece from my collection - even though I can't get as good of a close up as you did I hold mine up to the screen and it's essentially the same as yours. Early on before I started saving them I found a gnarled piece which obviously had been the plastic handle of a yellow screwdriver.

wow randy that is an ugly alien looking thing and no sigourney weaver... yuck.

So after that thread from a couple of days ago we can add the things from this thread to the list of "foreign objects" in RO.
From my recollection they are: moon rocks, concrete, insulation, leather glove, melted nylon rope, a screwdriver and now this plastic oddity.
I'm guessing it's a Snoopy lunchbox. :laugh:Happy Trails~thirdeye~Barbecue is not rocket surgery -
Yes, its RO. -RP

Is it possibe that while the "Spring Chicken' was in lala land he visited area 51 and sent you some samples of his findings? LOL

That looks like a leftover gremlin that has been exposed to water!

Looks like my wife's sister

Add a dead mouse, half burnt chunk of rubber, steel wool, nails and wire to that list. That is just in the last two months. Thinking that RO sometimes uses wood from demolished houses... hoping that pressure treated wood doesn't make its way into the mix.. Kind of a shame since other then the odd bad batch it really isn't a bad product.

We tried that stuff (RO) too but we thought it gave off a strong strange smokey flavor and to alleviate that I had to wait to long for it to burn clean. We now use Ozark oak or Cowboy. Love those. They burn clean and hot. Because of that I have more control over how much smoke I want to add.

I think you should name it, kinda like a pet rock.
